Worksop Town are delighted to announce that Marc Goodfellow, aged 32, has joined the Tigers from Kings Lynn Town. The left winger started his career at Stoke City where he spent 4 years including a loan spell at Icelandic club IBV Vestmannaeyja.
After leaving Stoke he joined Bristol City before having spells with Port Vale, Swansea City, Colchester United, Grimsby Town, Bury, Burton Albion, Barrow, Kidderminster Harriers and Gresley.
The paperwork should all be authorised in time for Goodfellow to be available for selection on Saturday.
A delighted Mark Shaw said, “This is an excellent signing for us, Goodfellow provides balance and competition down the left hand side”
“He gives us a different dimension and quality from set pieces as well as a wealth of football league experience”
Shaw went on to say, “Contrary to what has been reported elsewhere Marc has not joined us for money, in fact he is getting no more than he was at Kings Lynn. Marc can see what we are trying to achieve as a club and wants to play a part in it’s future.”
“As a club we are still operating within the set budget”
