The Tigers completed the league double over Stafford Rangers following a 2-0 win at Marston Road.

Leon Mettam should have put the Tigers ahead just before the half hour mark after the visitors were awarded a penalty following Lewis Chalmers’ trip on Jake Scott only for  Mettam to fire the spot kick wide of the upright.

However, it was not long before the Tigers took the lead; Adam Quinn nodding the ball home from close range after Shane Clarke headed Conor Higginson’s corner goalwards.

On 66 minutes Worksop was awarded a second penalty after James McCarthy brought down Scott. This time Mettam made no mistake with the spot kick.
