We have this morning confirmed the signing of Striker Mark Simpson.
Mark joins us from Frickley, he initially signed for them earlier in the summer but he has decided to make the switch to Sandy Lane in his search for more First Team action.
The 22 year-old starting playing at 18 for Ponterfract Colleries before signing for Garforth Town and making 100 appearances for the NCEL side. He scored 30 goals last season and broke a Jamie Vardy esque record by scoring 10 in consecutive games, the frontman also scored in both games against the Tigers.
The Striker is now keen to get started in the Black and Amber, he said ‘I spoke to Ryan and once I realised Worksop were interested it’s the only Club I wanted to join. Everyone knows how big the Club and fan base is here so I can’t wait to get going’.
Mark will be available for us tomorrow as we face Maltby Main in our first league game of the season.
