Lee Hill switches the Ambers for a return to the Tigers.
The club can confirm this morning that the former fans favourite has returned to the club after playing his trade at the start of the campaign for rivals Handsworth Parramore.
Hill is a very experienced player at this level and was a welcomed signing from manager Craig Denton who stated;
“I am delighted that we have got this deal over the line.
“Lee is a player who loves the club and when I saw that he was available, I made sure we was first in line to capture his signature.
“He is a powerful player and will go straight into the squad for today’s game against Liversedge FC”.
Lee Hill was a mainstay for the Tigers in the 2017/18 campaign when he first played in Amber and Black after signing from Maltby Main.
Hill is a no nonsense player who can also play in a variety of positions.
Lee expressed his delight to get back to playing football again for the Tigers;
“I’m very happy to be back at Worksop Town.
“I had to take time out of football for a few months to concentrate on my house as I have been working on it tirelessly to get it finished.
“I got a phone call off Craig at the perfect time.
“I know it sounds cliche but I have actually been thinking about this for weeks. Mainly due to the fact I let myself down at the end of last season and now want to put things to right!
“I can’t wait to get started and hopefully push the team forward, not just this season but building for seasons to come.
“Up the Tigers!”
The club would like to thank Handsworth Parramore for their help in ensuring the transfer went through in a timely manner.
Welcome back to the club Lee!
