Deegan Atherton has been a vital part of the side since fighting his way back into the starting eleven back in November against Penistone Church, and was an ever-present throughout December.
The 18-year-old came out on top of the four nominees with 39% of the vote.
Atherton joined the Tigers from Rotherham United in the summer and made a positive impression during pre-season.
The wing-back, who can also operate at centre-half, played the opening few games of the season before seeking more game time in the Under-19s, where he has gained much-deserved praise for his performances.
These displays have helped him get back into the first team picture and when he got his chance, he took it by the scruff of the neck and cemented himself as a regular.
His ball-reading and ability in possession is beyond his years and he fully deserves the accolade.
Well done Deegan.
