Worksop Town can today confirm the signing of Calum Ward from Campion FC.
Ward is a Striker who has a wealth of experience playing for teams such as; Tadcaster Albion, Ossett Town, Glasshougton Welfare and Garforth Town.
Whilst at Tadcaster Albion, he managed to score over 75 goals during the course of three seasons.
He also reached the quarter-finals of the FA Vase and scored a hat-trick against Skelmersdale United to put The Brewers into the FA Cup Third Qualifying Round.
Calum was pleased to join the Tigers.
The 27-year-old said; “I am buzzing to have signed and I can’t wait to get started. I feel like I’m being added to an already quality side who get a fantastic following.”
Ward will go straight into the squad for tomorrow’s Sandy Lane Derby against Handsworth Parramore.
He continued; “I’m excited to be involved. The side are doing well, and it should be a hard battle. I expect it to be a tough game and one for the neutrals. We have the strength to get a positive result.”
The forward signed off with a message for the fans.
Ward stated; “Keep backing the squad as we will appreciate it, it kicks us on.
“Expect to see determination, aggression and hard work from me. I always like a battle with a centre half and to score some goals would be nice.”
