Craig Denton has moved to add experience to the middle of the park by signing Michael Jones to his side.

Jones is a central midfielder and joins the Tigers from Liversedge FC.

The 39-year-old is an veteran of the NCEL and has played for a plethora of clubs including AFC Mansfield, Goole AFC, Garforth Town, Nostell Miners Welfare, Athersley Recreation, Stocksbridge Park Steels, Hucknall Town and Rossington Main.

He played for Sheffield United as a boy and even played against the Tigers in goal for Kiveton Park at the age of 15!

He has also had stints in the Conference North and will add guidance and leadership as he battles in front of the back four.

Michael is a recruitment officer for the Army and still has a good engine on him.

“I’m delighted to welcome Mike to the club”, said Denton.

“His experience will help the squad and will be great in and around the side.

“Jones is a player who I’ve always liked as he gives 100% on the field.”

We’d like to thank Liversedge for their co-operation in the transfer.
