Worksop Town forward Freddy Tracey shared his delight after opening his Worksop account against Matlock.
The young striker scored a lovely shot on the turn in the opening stages of the game, his goal putting the Tigers ahead in the tie.
Tracey said: “It was great to score my first goal for the club.
“Their player fouled me, I just thought to get the ball and shoot as early as possible, and thankfully it went into the bottom corner.
“It’s been great since I’ve joined, the fans have been brilliant, Including the support we get away; they’ve been fantastic, they’re very loud.
“The lads have welcomed me in with open arms, and I can’t thank them enough.”
With Belper Town around the corner, Tracey is eager to get some more game time.
Tracey continued: “Hopefully I will get a start on Saturday. I just want to play.
“I want to score as many goals for the club as I can. I need to enjoy playing football, which I am at the minute.”
